So there, as expected, re-format is the only deemed solution to Mumu's idiosyncrasies last Saturday.

Thanks to the digital gods and iSync, though I am still figuring out how to sync-back my contacts to my phone today -hoping my 800+ messages and 8mb photos are still intact.
